Fearful in majesty and glory thou! --
Mutely we stand and gaze upon thy flood,
As erst the red man gazed, ere yet the foot
Of our pale fathers trod these solitudes.
Still rings far up to heaven thy mighty hymn,
Which rose to hail the first glad morn of earth,
Nor will it cease till time shall be no more.
